Tomorrow is Groundhog Day, with much attention focused on a large rodent in Punxsutawney, PA…will “Phil” see his shadow, foretelling six more weeks of winter, or will it be cloudy, meaning winter is over? I’ll leave that to others to broadcast!
But I do offer this pictorial tribute to our favorite rodent, which often lives near people, warming our hearts with its presence but occasionally eating our flowers and gardens…
Is it spring yet?
I know some people dislike groundhogs, blaming them for damage to their gardens, yards, etc., but I enjoy watching them. We had a groundhog raising young under our shed last summer. Although they were awfully close to the road, it was great to see the little ones exploring. (And as far as I can tell, they were all fine.)
Great photos. Love the one of the groundhog staring at the statue!
Glad you enjoy my state’s famous rodent!
